Alive, designer and manufacturer of Responsible & Committed furniture
Three strong objectives
Far from ideals, we wanted it to be sincere, pragmatic
and balanced, aiming first to analyze our footprint
within our ecosystem; and then to be able to implement
a continuous improvement approach.
Design
Designing and manufacturing our own range of responsible furniture.
To unearth
Become a responsible buyer from committed partners and unearth gems.
Rehire
Save articles that can be saved, transform them and/or give them a second life.
Our production tool at the heart of every project
Alive Events teams have solid expertise
in the design and manufacture of eco-responsible furniture.
This historical know-how is supported by a powerful production tool, which allows us to constantly adapt to each project: carpentry, digital cutting, etc.
The art of design
Designing an eco-friendly product requires thorough preliminary thought and extensive testing and manufacturing to achieve the desired result.
We create our designs in-house, which we then submit to our technicians, logistics specialists, and sales representatives. Storage, assembly, and repair criteria are fundamental.
Next come the phases of testing, corrections, transformations, and problem-solving.
Once it's fully ready, the prototype is subjected to the critical scrutiny of our sales team
before being offered to you.
Crafted with passion and delicacy
We rigorously select the materials used:
- Wood from sustainably managed forests with PEFC / FSC certification,
- Recycled raw materials from our construction waste,
- Reuse of undamaged parts from furniture we decommission…
But our commitment goes further, allowing materials to be transformed by talented teams: our carpenters, our technicians… and by involving external services such as people with disabilities for the execution of simple tasks, people in social reintegration…
At Alive, even more than elsewhere, it is people who drive the nobility, passion and authenticity that characterize our manufacturing policy! Through their skill, keen eye, attention to detail and desire to do well, they will take you on a journey to the wonderful stories of our handmade items!
To commercialize
Responsible marketing also means being committed to a clear and consistent pricing offer that meets your needs: no more, no less. It means optimising our logistics to deliver your ordered items while minimising our carbon footprint. In this regard, we partner with many trade shows, for which we deliver not only furniture but also signage, audiovisual equipment, and plant decorations, which allows us to optimise our vehicles.
For long distances, and when possible, we favour rail-road transport.
Finally, commerce plays its most beautiful role when it brings you the wonderful stories that our cabinetmakers have crafted with such nobility, passion, and authenticity.
This teamwork makes sense when the entire philosophy of our commitments is reflected in your most beautiful events!
As you will have gathered, "Be-Engaged" is more than a magic formula, it's a state of mind that we are keen to cultivate with you!
Limit and manage our waste.
- We strive to offer you a wide range of products that will meet all your needs. With this in mind, we maximize the palletization of our items, with stackable references, in order to limit the storage space and the transport volume required.
- Our products are designed to be easily disassembled. We use reusable packaging and protective covers.
- We offer carpet tiles, cleaned at the end of the service and stored for reuse.
- We use wood from sustainably managed forests, PEFC / FSC certified.
To transform and adapt for use
When they become fragile or when we deem it necessary, we transform and readapt the use of articles that are a little too damaged to give them a new breath of life, a second life, a new story.
Here again, the ingenuity of our product managers, combined with that of our carpenters, technicians, and a bit of common sense, leads us to think about new uses.
A stool leg can be transformed into a table. A standard table can be transformed into a coffee table. In short, upcycling is taken to its extreme here and aims to ride market trends!
E.g. cutting standard table legs to transform them into coffee table legs,
E.g. Our Gliss chair transforms into a Gliss soft chair by swapping its plastic shell for a fabric covering.
Upcycling to reduce waste.
We also transform our waste into finished products:
For example, our cushions are made from mattress scraps and fabric salvaged from our construction sites. They are manufactured in an ESUS certified workshop.
Re-Alive, the event industry's reuse center
Our rental business inherently involves reusing our items to limit their environmental impact.
When they reach the end of their lifecycle or are outdated by market trends, we give them a second life through our Re-Alive Resource Center.
The principle? To allow our employees as well as the general public (individuals and professionals) to access quality items at a fair price based on their condition.
The Re-Alive Resource Center is the guarantee of finding furniture in good condition, at a lower cost, accessible to everyone!
